Guatemala Storm Eta Disaster Relief Fund

Devastating Storm Eta dumped 250 mm of rainfall in Coban, Guatemala leaving 150 dead or missing in Guatemala. The rainfall has increasing soil saturation that are causing landslides, mudslides, and flooding. Many are trapped and in danger with no way out and it is due to bad weather that has hampered rescue efforts while roads are still blocked and large areas remain flooded.

It is just now, on November 8th that we are beginning to be aware of the severity of the disaster as many families, and children have been left with no electricity, food, or water access for 3 days.

In contacting officials, it has been said that many are in need of basic essentials. Food, water, and a place to stay and while they plan to rebuild. The US Guatemalan embassy has been the only official to have access to the current area of destruction. There is lots to do to rebuild but many families have lot everything and most have children and babies.

The Casa Bella Foundation is a 501 c 3 non profit organization raising funds to relief and rebuild Alta Verapaz. #FuerzaGuatemala
